This is stamping. We have nothing against embossing, blender pens, or scene stamping, but all you really need is a few stamp pads in colors that work together (or one rainbow pad) and some stamps. And a sense of design. From Lenna Andrews Foster of Collinsville CT.
This one is not only a beauty, but also it holds the record for order from farthest away That record may stand for a long time, as Cremorne Point, Australia, is hard to beat. Bright colors in a limited palette and effective use of pattern are the key design elements here. The Southern Cross airmail label and postage stamps we've never seen before are an extra bonus. Isn't this one, from Charlotte Harris of Sun Valley, Idaho, nice? it's simple, but the bright colors and strong address go well with the speckled paper (which doesn't show up well in this GIF), and the postage stamp coordinates nicely with the flower rubber stamp.
Strong colors, attention to the background, and coordination with the postage stamp makes this one from Jodi Jenks of Lansing a beauty. I don't know if the rose is her eraser carving or not, but I like it.
